Alison Smyth is a professional actor/singer/dancer from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, who most recently starred in the Toronto production of the Jersey Boys as "Francine Valli". From 2001 to 2004 she trained in vocal performance at The Glenn Gould School in Toronto. In 2004 she made her professional debut in the Toronto production of Hairspray,[1] understudying the lead role of "Tracy Turnblad" and performing in the ensemble as "Shelley". Other notable credits include "Josie Pye and others" in Sullivan Entertainment's workshop of Anne of Avonlea in 2010, "Diana Barry" in Anne of Green Gables - The Musical,[1][2] at The Charlottetown Festival and appearing onscreen as an "Auditionee" in the film adaptation of Hairspray. In 2008, Smyth starred as "Cheryl" in the cult hit Evil Dead: The Musical,[3][4] in Toronto.
Alison is a member of Canadian Actors' Equity Association (CAEA) and ACTRA.
